Thanks much Travis, …
Thanks much Travis, for the very helpful information on the açaí berry weight loss claims regarding the Oprah Winfrey show. Yes, I’ve seen the “as seen on TV” before and usually that means something good. And yes, people get into legal trouble with an endorsement that was never made. Lawyers have plenty of business with endorsement problems.

I think it’s very …
I think it’s very interesting that not many people seem to know about the fact that Oprah did not endorse the berry. I find it appalling that websites try to capitalize on people’s false beliefs about a very popular television show. I think it’s commendable that you are pointing this out and that your site does not use her image.

You make a lot of sense, Travis. If a company makes false claims about endorsement, how can I possibly trust their products. Thanks for a thought-provoking vid…

Nice to have …
Nice to have endorsement of the acai berry supplements on the best show - Oprah. The show was very good and the discussion about the supplements really was interesting. Will be very helpful for health enthusiasts to make a choice.

I have very fake idea about health supplements but your video is like an eye opener for me.

It seems everyone …
It seems everyone is out for a fast weight loss fix. It’s rather unfortunate that people will bandwagon jump like that and potentially hurt themselves. But acai berry supplements are helpful! These videos are quite informative and taught me much I didn’t know about this “superfruit”.

Hi Travis, your …
Hi Travis, your video is really informative. I wish I could see your face as you inform so that we don’t feel you’re hiding behind the slides. As for the product, I don’t always run and buy anything Oprah endorses especially those products some companies so die to announce that Oprah is behind them.

Nope. As a …
Nope. As a nutritious and healthy fruit, it’s a great food item to add to your daily HEALTHY diet, but don’t fall for the hype that it will result in “miraculous” weight loss. It just doesn’t work that way!

They are also the …
They are also the ones who stay in business the long-term;) That’s why I recommended the two brands mentioned in the video. They’ve been around longer than any other acai products and they don’t do any of these tricky marketing tactics.

Way to be a …
Way to be a thorough consumer;) You saved yourself a headache and money!

Yup. Acai contains …
Yup. Acai contains many components that “help” with weight loss but acai alone will do very little for weight loss. As I’ve mentioned already, acai is simply a nutritious and healthy fruit;) So to say acai will magically help you lose X amount of weight, would be like saying eating X amount of apples per day will result in weight loss. It’s ridiculous.

LOL…”old school PowerPoint”…thanks;) I’ll definitely check out PowerPoint Zen. Anything to help improve my presentations will help. I’m glad you like the info though.

If you’re referring …
If you’re referring to the validity of this supplement for weight loss - there is none! Marketers of acai will have you believe it’s some kind of miracle weight loss solution but nothing could be further from the truth. All acai berry is is a nutritious, healthy fruit for optimal health;)

It doesn’t shock me …
It doesn’t shock me that Oprah doesn’t give the whole picture about things until forced to. I will say though, I have friends that have tried this diet but no conclusion has ever really been made about the validity. It would be nice for a video maybe about the validity of the actual supplements and diet. Good pointing this out though!

I don’t watch Oprah …
I don’t watch Oprah or take seriously anything she says. I didn’t know acai berry was recommended by anyone as a weight loss supplement. I thought it was just a vitamin C supplement.
This video was sort of old, school PowerPoint, but the info was interesting and it was delivered in a professonal manner. I suggest you read “PowerPoint Zen” to improve your visual appeal.

It sucks how …
It sucks how companies are trying to deceive people with “Oprah tactics”. I’m not really an oprah fan so these ads never intrigue me, but for the people that are it sucks how they get roped into stuff like this!
July 24th, 2009 at 2:18 pm
You’re saying here …
You’re saying here that Oprah doesn’t endorse acai supplements but what does acai berry really do for weight loss? Does that mean that those sites which promote acai for weight loss are all hot air too?
July 24th, 2009 at 2:18 pm
If Oprah is really …
If Oprah is really (legally) running after these false advertisers now, I’d say they’re getting their just desserts for deceiving people.
July 24th, 2009 at 2:18 pm
I’m a big fan of …
I’m a big fan of Oprah and was almost lured into ordering a certain brand of acai supplements which did say as seen on Oprah. Complete with pictures of her and statements that acai is now part of her diet, these ads can be very believable. Good thing I did some more “digging” before clicking on that Order Now button.
Your video validates what I found out earlier. Great job!

Good for you for …
Good for you for setting the record straight, and opening more people’s eyes to the fact that some choose a not so moral approach to run their businesses. Personally, I am more interested in shopping with a company that offers factual and genuine information, rather than someone who’s endorsing a product via a celebrity. I think in the long run, those who offer a true product and service are the ones who come out on top.
July 24th, 2009 at 2:18 pm
I don’t like the …
I don’t like the fact that companies use a famous celebrity face to sell products. This was a very informative video about this problem. At one point, I’ve actually believed the “as seen on Oprah” phrases written on certain health supplement websites. Thanks for a great video!
